Strike Bill Pay is a simple, automated way to pay your bills directly from your Strike account—using either your cash or bitcoin balance. From credit cards and phone bills to utilities and business invoices, you can add unlimited billers and pay them automatically, all from within the Strike app.

Bill Pay is available to both individuals and businesses whose accounts are verified and in good standing.

How does Strike Bill Pay work?

1. Generate payment details: Strike automatically generates an account and routing number in the Strike mobile app.
2. Choose your funding source: Set your default payment source as either cash or bitcoin.
3. Add your Strike account to the biller: Enter your Strike payment details into your biller’s payment system—just like adding a bank account.
4. Bills are paid automatically: When your biller charges your Strike account, the payment is processed from your selected balance.
5. Backup payment method: If your default balance is insufficient, Strike automatically uses your alternate balance to complete the payment.

Paying bills with bitcoin

Bill pay lets you hold your wealth in bitcoin, converting to cash only when bills are due. By setting your default to bitcoin, your bills are sourced from your bitcoin balance, converted to cash and paid to your biller at time of payment.

Taxes simplified

• Bitcoin default: Paying bills from your bitcoin balance triggers a taxable event, since Strike sells bitcoin on your behalf to pay the bill.
• Cash default: Paying bills from your cash balance does not trigger a taxable event.

Each year, Strike issues a tax document summarizing all your bitcoin sales for easier reporting.
